Glen Feshie in the Cairngorm mountains of Scotland is a long ribbon of natural forest and intertwined river channels – it draws you up the path of the ancient glacier and into the heart of the mountains. We looked at the map, made some sandwiches, and set off on our bikes for an adventure! ‘Feshie’ means ‘place sheltered from the storms’ in the old gaelic language, so there could hardly be a better place to sit back on the first evening of summer and enjoy a beer chilled in the river. Thanks to Eric in Alaska and Andy at Backcountrybiking for providing the Revelate Designs kit, and Annie for standing in the middle of a river to get those ‘authentic’ shots.
