Richmond, CA – Ventana Mountain Bikes USA releases the Wolfram 27.5+ in cooperation with Cycle Monkey, with full builds offered. Cycle Monkey, the US Distributor of Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 internal gear hubs, is taking an active role in becoming the premier resource and supplier for high quality, adventure-focused bicycle products. This weekend at the Philly Bike Show, Cycle Monkey will be showing the new Ventana Wolfram 27.5+ hardtail. “Bikes with plus tires are quickly gaining popularity in the mountain bike market due to increased traction and comfort that increase the fun factor for many riders. In my own trail adventures, I have mostly turned to a plus bike for the past 2 years,” said Neil Flock, owner of Cycle Monkey. “We have had a good relationship with Ventana over the past several years, especially since they started making belt drive compatible frames. We worked with them to develop a fun, playful, all-mountain hardtail and make sure that the Gates Carbon Drive belt sprockets would work with the wide tires.” DSC_3960 Wolfram 27.5+ is designed for aggressive trail riding with modern mtb geometry, featuring a 67 degree head tube angle (120mm fork), short chainstays (419mm shortest setting), long top tube, and a 120-140mm travel fork. It is also Rohloff SPEEDHUB and belt compatible via the adjustable dropouts to create the ultimate durable, low-maintenance trail bike.  Derailleur versions will be built with 12x148mm Boost spacing and Rohloff versions will accommodate Rohloff’s original 10x135mm hubs or their new 12x142mm SPEEDHUB A12 model. “Ventana has been at the very front of mountain bike design for decades because they do all design, prototyping, and fabrication in-house,” said Jim Glose, Sales Director of Cycle Monkey. “Their flexibility allows them to be very creative but also fast to market with excellent ideas and unique fitments.” Cycle Monkey will be offering customized versions of the Wolfram and other Ventana models such as the El Gordo and El Comandante in complete packages featuring the Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 starting at $4,999. Cycle Monkey versions will be custom-fit with Rohloff-specific shift cable routing and internal dropper seatpost routing.
