Bikepacking Saddle Bags

The saddle bag has evolved a lot in the past few years. They have gotten bigger, then smaller, and now there are some unique systems including harness style saddle bags. Saddle bags all do the same thing, and that is carry your gear. They carry a lot more than those tiny little seat bags that hold your tube, tool and Co2. Most saddle bags can compress with straps, keeping the bag stable in the most rough conditions. There are a lot of different shapes and styles of saddle bags that may or may not work on your bike. One thing you should keep in mind is clearance. Certain full suspension bikes and bike sizes will not accommodate saddle bags (or large ones) as the bag will rub against the rear tire. Make sure to talk to your bag maker to ensure this does not happen before you purchase your bag.
