Tomorrow I will set out on a long journey down the spine of the continent. Some call it a trip of a lifetime, others, their annual summer vacation. The Tour Divide spans 2,700+ miles across two countries where the route cuts through beautiful valleys, snow capped mountains and a number of unique resupply towns. I look forward to making new friends, meeting locals and seeing how far I can push my limits. Below is a video of my Tour Divide Rig; including the bike, bags and gear I will be taking. Do note, I have never done this route before, I am in no way an expert in the field of the Tour Divide. Track the field of riders by following this link.

  1. Nice video Neil. It gave me a few more ideas. Good luck on the route

  3. Great video of your rig. Make some memories out there.

  4. Looks you have thoroughly thought thru your kit, but I’d:
    1 – ditch the vest.
2 – tape the spokes to a chain or seat stay.
    3 – spare RD hanger?
4 – make sure you have any odd-size allen keys [2.0, 2.5, 3.0 mm?] for things like replacing a RD hanger.

Just curious about the run time you’ve gotten from your helmet light?

    Good luck! Have fun!

  5. Would love to see more on how you setup that switch system for charging your electronics. That seems cool.
