My name is Michael Intrabartola and I’ve been riding bikes and traveling by way of the bike for years.  I was always trying to pare down gear to the smallest amount needed in order to ride the trails I wanted, but it wasn’t until I decided to race the Tour Divide in 2012 that I realized “bikepacking” gear had come into it’s own. This Solace Cycles Pinion 29er was loaned to me specifically for the 2017 Grand Depart of The Adirondack Trail Ride.  I am the organizer for this event and also a participant.  This year was the third annual Grand Depart.
