The bikepacking community is small, and because of that, many of us know one another. Recently one of our own, JD Pauls was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. Blackburn put together a great film that exemplifies JD’s spirit and attitude as he finished the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route prior to being diagnosed. Maybe one of the best feelings he has ever had, that is until he beats cancer. Support JD if you can by contributing to his efforts in paying for and fighting this horrible disease. Update: 5/10/17 – It is with great sadness that we update this article after JD passed away after a long fight with cancer. JD was one of us, he was apart of the tribe. He was also a family man, and father. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Pauls family. Pedal in peace JD, you will be missed.
