As each year goes by, the bikepacking/adventure market grows a little bit. This year at Interbike I’m searching out all of the newest and most innovative gear and bikes on display. The usual suspects are showing off new and innovative products alongside a handful of brands new to the world. I’ll be grabbing photos and info on as much as I can during the show. Here’s what I’ve seen so far. Jamis Dragonslayer 27.5+ With Boost 148 sliding dropouts, full cable housing, and three bottle cages on a large main triangle, the new Dragonslayer looks like a real solid option for trail and bikepacking duty. With an MSRP of $2,699 Jamis seems to have stepped into the ring with a knockout punch.

Revelate Designs Eric and company are bringing game to this year’s show. The quality and innovative nature we’ve come to expect from Revelate is on display and the new direction looks great. Welded and fully waterproof gear is becoming the standard, and it Revelate is taking advantage of that. The new seatbags feature an air purge, making compression a lot easier to deal with. A new hydration pack, the Wampak is designed specifically for cold weather riders who need to rely on 3L of water not freezing up. The Wampak has undergone extensive testing and should be on the market before January. On one other note, their framebags feature a bulletproof new zipper design with a waterproof Cordura backing. Lael has over 10,000 miles on her gear and it shows no sign of giving up.
