Transcending our natural environment is rewarding enough on a bike, but once you add one and maybe two different modes of transportation, there is a sense of something bigger and bolder. Salsa sponsored riders Bjorn Olson and Kim McNett have been doing these adventures for a while up in Alaska, and they invited some good friends to join them aboard different instruments for a memorable adventure.

  1. Inspiring trip. I’m just starting to get to grips with and rehearse how a packraft can make bikepacking trips in the Kootenays much more varied. We have so much water to play with – lakes and rivers. Glad to see reinforcement for the idea that play in the outdoors is a valuable thing adults. Not just for stress relief, but for personal and communal growth too.
