This year was a special one for self-supported unicycle travel. First off, Jamey Mossengren completed the entire Colorado Trail, the first known individual to do so on a unicycle. Jamie traveled roughly 27 miles a day and finished in 22 days total. Just last month, we had another incredible feat, this time on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. Similar to the Divide by 1 team of Gracie Sorbello and Matt Burney in 2009, Adam Gianforte completed the route in 79 days, starting on July 17th. It’s only fitting to share a movie that Matt Burney made after their ride in 2009. It is enjoyable to watch the team traveling though each state, struggling, and of course, laughing.
