There are certain towns and individuals along the route that embrace the Tour Divide more than most. While racers must take care of and support themselves, trail angles such as Kathy from Ovando and Russ from the High Country Lodge outside of Polaris, in Montanta get bombarded with hundreds of racers. Says Kathy after a busy day on the divide… “Been a crazy day with scratches, illnesses and counseling.” Both however take the time to not only tend to racers but capture the true spirit of the Tour Divide with their pictures of beat down racers.
